This Payment & Billing Policy explains how payments work at Equora.
1. Accepted payment methods
We accept credit and debit cards, processed by our payment provider over an encrypted connection. Where offered at checkout, you may also pay with Apple Pay using a card stored in your wallet; Apple Pay payments are card payments for the purposes of this policy.
Card payments appear on your statement as TAGADA*EQUORA. If you do not recognise a charge, please contact us at info@equoralab.com with your order number before contacting your bank — we can usually identify and resolve it the same business day.
We do not receive or store your full card number. Card details are captured and processed by our payment provider under PCI DSS standards; Equora retains only the last four digits, the card type, and the authorisation result.
2. Pricing & currency
All prices are listed and charged in U.S. dollars (USD).
3. Fees
Equora does not add a card surcharge, a convenience fee, or a minimum order charge. The price you see is the price you pay, plus any shipping shown at checkout.
Your bank may apply its own foreign transaction or currency conversion fee on international cards. That fee is set by your bank, not by us.
4. How an order is confirmed
When you place an order, your bank authorises the amount, which may appear as a pending charge immediately. The order is confirmed once that authorisation succeeds. If an order is declined or cancelled before dispatch, the authorisation is released and the pending amount disappears from your statement, usually within 3 to 7 business days depending on your bank. A released authorisation is not a refund and will not appear as one.
Confirmation of payment is not acceptance of your order. As set out in our Terms & Conditions, we may decline or cancel any order at our discretion, including where we suspect the order is not for legitimate research use. If we do so after payment has been taken, we refund it in full.
5. Refunds and reversals
Refunds are returned to the card used for the original purchase. We cannot refund to a different card or by another method. Once we issue a refund it typically appears within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. You keep all rights you have with your card issuer; nothing in this policy limits them.
What is and is not refundable is set out in our Shipping & Returns policy.
6. Security & taxes
Card data is handled by our PCI DSS compliant payment provider and is never stored on our systems.
You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchase or jurisdiction. Prices exclude any applicable sales, use, VAT or import duties, which are your responsibility.
7. If something is wrong with your order
If there is a problem with an order — it has not arrived, it arrived damaged, or the charge is not what you expected — contact us at info@equoralab.com with your order number. We aim to respond within one business day.
We ask that you give us that opportunity before raising a dispute with your bank, simply because we can usually resolve it faster and more completely than a dispute process can. This is a request, not a condition: your rights with your card issuer are unaffected, and you may exercise them at any time.
Where a dispute is raised with your card issuer, we will provide the order record, the delivery confirmation, and our correspondence with you.
8. Questions
Payment questions: info@equoralab.com (include your order number).
